Mike Legault
Mike Legault is an award winning baker with over 14 years of professional baking experience. At the age of only 15 he opened his first cake decorating company, Just for Cakes, in the GTA. Mike ran Just for Cakes for over eight years, creating thousands of beautiful cakes for everything from birthday parties to weddings to corporate events. Seeking new experiences, Mike then moved to Amherstburg, Ontario, and opened an award winning bakery at a local coffee shop. His signature Crème Brûlée cookies drew customers from all over Southern Ontario and were featured on several local news programs. Mike then pivoted to a more challenging style of baking, establishing a vegan and gluten-free bakery in a local vegan restaurant. There, he developed a line of gluten-free and vegan cakes, donuts, cheesecakes, pastries, and breads, and lead the company’s expansion into wholesale production. Now, Mike is back in the GTA and excited for his new adventure with Community Dough, where he hopes to combine his extensive baking knowledge with the newest culinary techniques to produce one-of-a-kind confections!
